Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bond Draw Schedule 2026
The official 2026 calendar contains four Rs.40,000 Premium draws:
| Draw Date | City |
|---|---|
| 10 March 2026 | Rawalpindi |
| 10 June 2026 | Muzaffarabad |
| 10 September 2026 | Sialkot |

The Central Directorate of National Savings schedule confirms these exact dates and cities. If a scheduled date falls on a public holiday, the draw moves to the following working day.
Today’s Rs.40,000 Premium Draw
As of 10 September 2026, the third Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bond draw of the year is scheduled today in Sialkot.
At the time this page content is being prepared, National Savings’ online Rs.40,000 archive shows the March and June 2026 draw entries but does not yet show a published September result. Saving.com.pk should therefore continue to mark the Sialkot draw as upcoming or awaiting result until the actual winning list is published and checked.
Do not pre-populate First, Second or Third Prize numbers before the published result is available.
Once the result has been verified and imported, the plugin can automatically change:

The remaining 2026 draw is scheduled for 10 December 2026 in Lahore.

Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bond Prize Details
The current prize structure per series is:
| Prize Tier | Number of Prize Numbers | Prize Amount Each |
|---|---|---|
| First Prize | 1 | Rs.80,000,000 |
| Second Prize | 3 | Rs.30,000,000 |
| Third Prize | 660 | Rs.500,000 |
| Total | 664 | — |
These figures come from SBP BSC’s current Premium Prize Bond scheme information.
First Prize — Rs.80 Million
There is one First Prize number per series:
1 × Rs.80,000,000
Rs.80 million is currently the highest single Prize Bond prize among Pakistan’s active denominations. National Savings also identifies Rs.80 million as the highest prize for the Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bond.
Second Prize — Rs.30 Million
Three numbers receive:
3 × Rs.30,000,000 each
These three numbers should be displayed prominently on each completed draw page rather than blended into the longer Third Prize list.
Third Prize — Rs.500,000
The Third Prize list contains:
660 × Rs.500,000 each
That gives 664 prize numbers per series in total.
For comparison with Rs.100, Rs.200, Rs.750, Rs.1,500 and Rs.25,000 Premium, see Prize Bond Prize Details.
Registered Premium Bond — Not the Old Rs.40,000 Bearer Bond
This distinction should be highly visible on /rs-40000/.
The current product is:
Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bond (Registered)
It is not the former Rs.40,000 bearer National Prize Bond.
SBP’s historical notices separately record the withdrawal of the old bearer Rs.40,000 instrument, while the registered Premium product remains active.
Do not combine historical results from the old bearer Rs.40,000 product with current Premium draw results without clearly identifying which product the result belongs to.
For the withdrawal history, see Discontinued Prize Bonds in Pakistan.

How Registration Changes the Rs.40,000 Prize Bond
Rs.40,000 Premium is not an anonymous bearer product.
National Savings states that Premium Prize Bonds are:
- registered in the investor’s name;
- available to adult Pakistani citizens and Overseas Pakistanis;
- connected with the investor’s bank account;
- transferable;
- pledge-able;
- eligible for quarterly draws and biannual profit.
SBP’s Premium FAQ also confirms that registration is mandatory before purchase because the bonds are registered instruments.
That ownership record affects how prizes, profit, transfer and lost-bond cases are handled.
Where Can You Buy an Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bond?
National Savings currently states that Premium Prize Bonds can be purchased from:
- SBP BSC offices; and
- authorized commercial-bank branches.
Purchase methods include:
- cash;
- cheque;
- pay order; and
- bank draft.
Documents listed by National Savings include a CNIC copy, Account Maintenance Certificate containing account and IBAN information, filer tax certificate where applicable and nominee CNIC details.
The authorized commercial-bank sales channel remains current. SBP issued revised settlement instructions for banks handling Premium Prize Bond sales on 6 August 2026.
For full purchasing guidance, use Where and How to Buy Prize Bonds.
Two-Month Eligibility Rule
Buying an Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bond immediately before qura andazi does not automatically make it eligible for that draw.
SBP BSC’s Premium Prize Bond FAQ gives a minimum holding or retention period of two months for both Rs.25,000 and Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bonds to become eligible for the forthcoming draw.
This is different wording from the 60-day issue rule generally discussed for ordinary bearer National Prize Bonds, so the Premium rule should be explained separately.
When checking an upcoming draw, consider both the draw date and when the Premium Prize Bond was acquired.
Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bond Profit
Premium Prize Bonds provide a profit feature in addition to participation in quarterly draws.
The current Finance Division notification sets the biannual profit rate at 2.92% for Premium Prize Bonds covered by the notification, with the new rate applying to profit due after 9 September 2025 until further notification.
National Savings also currently states the Premium Prize Bond profit rate as 2.92% biannual.
Example
For one Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bond:
Rs.40,000 × 2.92% = Rs.1,168
So the gross profit for one six-month period at the currently notified rate would be Rs.1,168 before applicable withholding tax.
The rate can change through a later government notification. For that reason, Saving.com.pk should keep the rate in editable page content or dynamic data rather than placing it permanently inside an image.
How Prize Money and Profit Are Paid
This is one of the biggest differences from ordinary bearer bonds.
National Savings states that both prize money and profit are credited directly to the investor’s registered bank account, and no ordinary application form is required for claiming them.
So if your Rs.40,000 Premium number appears in a winning list, you do not normally follow the PB-23 bearer-bond prize claim process.
You should still check that your registered bank information remains accurate and verify the winning number against the corresponding official result.
Tax on Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bond Winnings
National Savings currently states that withholding tax applies to both Premium Prize Bond prize money and profit:
- 15% for filers / persons appearing on ATL
- 30% for non-filers / persons not appearing on ATL.
For the Rs.80,000,000 First Prize:
| Status | Gross Prize | WHT | Amount After Withholding |
|---|---|---|---|
| Filer | Rs.80,000,000 | Rs.12,000,000 | Rs.68,000,000 |
| Non-filer | Rs.80,000,000 | Rs.24,000,000 | Rs.56,000,000 |
These are simple examples based on the currently published rates, not individual tax advice.
For more detail, see Prize Bond Tax for Filer and Non-Filer.
Can an Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bond Be Transferred?
Yes.
National Savings describes Premium Prize Bonds as transferable and pledge-able.
Because the bond is registered, ownership transfer should be completed through the prescribed procedure. It is not the same as simply handing another person an ordinary bearer Prize Bond.
This protects the connection between:
registered owner → bond record → bank account → future prize/profit payments
For a broader explanation, see Rs.25,000 and Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bonds.
What If an Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bond Is Lost?
Losing a registered Premium Prize Bond is different from losing an ordinary bearer bond.
Because ownership is registered, SBP BSC maintains a formal procedure for reporting a lost Premium Prize Bond. A registered investor should use the current official lost-bond process rather than treating the case like a lost Rs.750 or Rs.1,500 bearer instrument.
Do not rely on an unofficial agent or an old form copied from another website.
For current Premium forms and procedures, use the relevant SBP BSC official resources.
Can Anyone Predict the Rs.40,000 Premium Draw?
No official method guarantees the next winning number.
A previous result can tell you what happened in an earlier draw. It cannot tell you which number will be selected in Sialkot, Lahore or another future qura andazi.
SBP BSC states that Premium Prize Bond draws are held quarterly by a committee constituted by CDNS, are open to the general public and use a hand-operated draw machine.
That is why Saving.com.pk separates searchable historical results from guess papers, VIP-number claims and prediction formulas.
See Prize Bond Guess Papers for more information.
