Saving.com.pk aims to keep Prize Bond results, historical records and practical guidance accurate. But a website containing thousands of winning numbers, historical draws and changing government procedures can still contain an error.
When a material factual error is identified and confirmed, our approach is to check the underlying source, correct the affected information and make sure the same error is not unnecessarily repeated elsewhere on the site.
Readers can report suspected errors through the Contact Us page. A correction request is most useful when it includes the exact page, draw or statement that appears to be wrong.
This policy explains what can be reported, how we review a correction, what happens after an error is confirmed and the difference between a factual mistake and an editorial disagreement.
What You Can Report
Readers may report any Saving.com.pk content that appears factually incorrect, incomplete in a material way or inconsistent with an authoritative source.
Common examples include:
- incorrect Prize Bond winning number
- missing winning number
- wrong denomination
- incorrect draw number
- wrong draw date
- incorrect draw city
- incorrect First, Second or Third Prize amount
- incomplete winning-number list
- dropped leading zero in a bond number
- outdated tax rate shown as current
- incorrect claim form
- outdated claim location or threshold
- incorrect Premium Prize Bond information
- active and discontinued denominations being mixed together
- incorrect historical withdrawal date
- broken internal or official-source link
- information presented as current when it is actually historical
A correction request does not need to use technical language. It only needs enough detail for us to identify and check the issue.
How to Report an Error
Use the Saving.com.pk Contact page and provide the information you have.
For a draw-result issue, include:
- denomination
- draw number
- draw date if known
- Prize Bond number involved
- prize tier
- URL of the Saving.com.pk page
- what you believe is incorrect
- official source showing the correct information, if available
For example:
Rs.750 Draw #107 — the number 004381 appears differently on Saving.com.pk and the National Savings result.
That is much easier to investigate than a message saying only:
Your result is wrong.
For an informational article, tell us the section or statement that appears outdated and, where possible, the National Savings, SBP/SBP BSC or FBR source that supports the correction.
How We Review a Reported Error
A reader report does not automatically mean that the published page is wrong.
The first step is to identify exactly what is being challenged.
We then compare the Saving.com.pk information with the most relevant available source.
Our normal verification order is:
National Savings
Preferred for Prize Bond results, current denominations, draw information and many scheme rules.
State Bank of Pakistan / SBP BSC
Used where official forms, circulars, operational procedures, historical notices or Premium Prize Bond instructions are directly relevant.
Federal Board of Revenue
Used where the issue specifically concerns tax law, filer status or the Active Taxpayers List.
Secondary sources may be considered when primary material cannot be found, particularly for older historical records, but they are not used to casually override newer official information.
How Prize Bond Result Corrections Are Checked
A Prize Bond result correction requires more than searching for one number.
We check the complete context of the reported result:
Denomination — Is the result for the correct Prize Bond value?
Draw number — Is the winning list attached to the right draw?
Date — Does the published result correspond with that date?
City — Is the correct draw location recorded?
Prize tier — Is the number a First, Second or Third Prize winner?
Number format — Has the full six-digit number been preserved?
Source result — Does the available official result support the correction?
This avoids fixing one field while leaving a related error untouched.
The full draw-verification process is explained on How Saving.com.pk Verifies Prize Bond Results.
Leading-Zero Corrections
Leading zeros deserve separate attention.
For example:
003821
is not properly represented as:
3821
Prize Bond numbers are stored and displayed as identifiers rather than ordinary mathematical values.
If a leading zero has been removed from a winning number during data import or formatting, that is treated as a factual/data correction.
This is especially important because visitors may compare the number shown on Saving.com.pk directly with a physical Prize Bond.
Current Rules vs Historical Information
Not every difference between an old page and a current page is an error.
Prize Bond rules change.
For example, an older historical record may correctly refer to a denomination or prize structure that is no longer current. The appropriate correction is not to rewrite history using today’s rules.
Instead, Saving.com.pk aims to distinguish clearly between:
Current information — what applies now.
Historical information — what applied at the time.
A historical Rs.15,000 Prize Bond result can remain available as historical data even though Rs.15,000 is no longer an active denomination.
Likewise, the withdrawn bearer Rs.25,000 Prize Bond should not be confused with the active Rs.25,000 Premium Prize Bond (Registered).
If a page mixes these contexts in a misleading way, that can be corrected.
How We Handle Outdated Information
Some corrections are not caused by an original publishing mistake. The information was correct when written but later changed.
This commonly applies to:
- tax rates
- claim forms
- claim procedures
- claim locations
- Premium Prize Bond profit rates
- draw schedules
- government deadlines
- active denominations
When a newer official rule replaces an older one, the relevant page should be updated.
Where the older rule is useful for historical understanding, it may remain on the page with a clear historical label rather than being removed completely.
What Happens When an Error Is Confirmed
When a material error is confirmed, we aim to correct the information at the place where readers actually encounter it.
Depending on the issue, this may include:
- changing a wrong winning number
- adding a missing number
- correcting the draw date or city
- fixing a prize amount
- updating a tax rate
- replacing an outdated form reference
- correcting an incorrect internal link
- updating a historical status
- changing a database record
- correcting related wording on the same page
If the same incorrect information appears on more than one important page, those related locations may also need checking.
The goal is to correct the underlying information rather than simply hide a reader’s report.
Do We Publish a Correction Note?
Not every correction needs a prominent public notice.
A minor typographical correction that does not change the meaning of the page may simply be fixed.
For a material correction, especially one involving a winning number, financial amount, tax rate, claim rule or other important fact, a visible update or correction note may be appropriate where it helps readers understand what changed.
The level of disclosure should match the importance of the error.
We do not want a page filled with notices about corrected punctuation, but we also do not want a meaningful factual change to be hidden when readers could have relied on the earlier version.
Factual Error vs Editorial Disagreement
A correction request should identify something that can reasonably be checked.
Examples of factual errors:
- Draw #107 was held in Lahore, but the page says Karachi.
- The official list shows
004381, but Saving.com.pk shows004831. - A page describes Rs.15,000 as an active denomination.
- An outdated tax rate is labelled as current.
These can be verified.
An editorial disagreement is different.
Examples include:
- preferring a different headline
- thinking a paragraph should be shorter
- disagreeing with the order of sections
- preferring one phrase over another
- wanting a different design or writing style
We may still consider editorial feedback, but it is not treated in the same way as a factual correction.
How Conflicting Sources Are Handled
Sometimes the difficult part is not finding a source. It is finding two official sources that appear to say different things.
When that happens, we look at:
- publication date
- authority responsible for the particular procedure
- whether one document is a formal notification or circular
- whether a newer source explicitly updates an earlier rule
- whether the difference is about current or historical information
A newer, specific official document may take precedence over an older general page.
If the difference cannot be resolved confidently, we may explain the conflict rather than present one interpretation as certain.
Our broader approach to source selection is explained in the Fact-Checking Policy.
Corrections to Tax and Financial Procedures
Corrections involving money receive additional care.
Examples include:
- filer/non-filer tax rates
- claim thresholds
- prize amounts
- Premium Prize Bond profit rates
- claim deadlines
- required forms
- payment methods
Saving.com.pk does not correct these simply because another blog gives a different figure.
The information is checked against the relevant current official source, normally National Savings, SBP/SBP BSC or FBR depending on the subject.
Saving.com.pk provides general information and does not offer individualized financial, tax or legal advice.
Corrections to Searchable Prize Bond Data
The Saving.com.pk Power Search relies on stored historical winning-number data.
If a confirmed database error is reported, the correction may need to be made in the stored draw record rather than only in the visible article text.
For example, correcting a Third Prize number in the database can affect:
- the individual draw page
- Power Search results
- denomination history
- other database-driven displays
This is why reports containing the denomination, draw number and exact Prize Bond number are especially useful.
We Do Not Promise a Fixed Correction Time
Some errors can be confirmed quickly.
Others may involve an old draw, a historical government notification or conflicting official documents that require more checking.
For that reason, Saving.com.pk does not promise that every report will be resolved within an artificial fixed number of hours or days.
The priority is to verify the issue properly before changing financially relevant information.
A quick correction that introduces a second mistake is not an improvement.
How Corrections Relate to AI and Automated Tools
Saving.com.pk may use software, automation and AI-assisted tools in parts of content production and Prize Bond data handling.
These tools can also introduce errors.
Examples might include:
- changing a six-digit number into an ordinary number
- misreading a table
- using an outdated fact
- attaching content to the wrong draw
- producing a statement that sounds confident but lacks an official source
If such an error is identified, it is treated like any other factual error.
Automation does not make incorrect information acceptable, and an AI-generated statement is not considered a source of authority.
How to Help Us Check a Problem Faster
A useful correction report normally contains three things:
1. Where is the problem?
Provide the exact URL.
2. What appears wrong?
Quote or describe the number, date, rule or statement.
3. What supports the correction?
Where possible, provide the official National Savings, SBP/SBP BSC or FBR source.
You do not need to provide all three before contacting us, but more specific information makes verification easier.
Use Contact Us for correction reports.
Independent Website Disclosure
Saving.com.pk is an independent Prize Bond information website. It is not operated by National Savings, the State Bank of Pakistan, SBP BSC, FBR or the Government of Pakistan.
Our correction process does not alter an official government record. It only changes information presented within Saving.com.pk.
For Prize Bond claims, taxation, forms and government procedures, the corresponding official source remains the final authority.
Our broader publishing standards are available in the Editorial Policy, while the Fact-Checking Policy explains how information is checked before and after publication.
FAQs
How do I report a wrong Prize Bond result?
Use Contact Us and include the denomination, draw number, exact bond number and page URL. If possible, also provide the relevant official result showing the difference.
Will Saving.com.pk correct a wrong winning number?
If a winning-number error is confirmed against the relevant source, the affected database or page should be corrected. Because result data can appear in several places, related database-driven displays may also need to be checked.
Can I request a correction because I disagree with the wording?
You can send editorial feedback, but a wording preference is not automatically a factual correction. Corrections mainly concern information that can be verified, such as dates, numbers, prize amounts, procedures or historical status.
What if two official websites show different information?
We compare the publication dates, responsible authority and type of document. A newer, more specific official notification may supersede an older general page. If the conflict remains unclear, it may be disclosed instead of guessed.
Will every correction have a public correction notice?
Not necessarily. Small typographical changes may simply be fixed. A material change involving a winning number, financial rule or other important fact may warrant a clearer update where that helps readers understand what changed.
How quickly will Saving.com.pk correct an error?
There is no fixed guaranteed response time. Some issues can be checked quickly, while historical or conflicting information may require additional verification before a change is made.
