How Prize Bond Draws Work in Pakistan – Balloting, Schedule & Results

A Pakistan Prize Bond draw follows a scheduled balloting process rather than a prediction formula. The denomination, draw number, date and city are fixed in the official draw schedule. On draw day, winning numbers are selected through a hand-operated draw machine under a committee constituted by the Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS), and members of the public may attend the ceremony. National Savings then makes the official winning list available for checking.

In everyday Pakistani conversation, people often call this qura andazi or a lucky draw. Those phrases simply refer to the balloting process. They do not mean that lucky numbers, formulas or guess papers can tell you what number will come out next.

The process can be understood simply as:

Schedule → Draw → Official Result → Saving.com.pk verification → Online checker

Who Conducts Prize Bond Draws?

Pakistan’s National Prize Bond system is administered through the government’s National Savings framework.

According to the current National Savings FAQ, an individual Prize Bond draw is held by a committee constituted by the Central Directorate of National Savings. The ceremony is open to the general public rather than being conducted as a private online calculation hidden from view.

National Savings also says members of the public may attend the draw ceremony by producing their original CNIC.

This is an important distinction when reading claims on social media. The actual result comes from the official draw process. A WhatsApp group, YouTube channel or website does not conduct the government draw; such sources can only reproduce or help users search the result after it has been released.

How the Draw Schedule Is Set

Before a draw takes place, there is already an official schedule specifying:

  • the Prize Bond denomination;
  • draw number;
  • draw date; and
  • city or place of the draw.

National Savings describes the draw schedule as containing the draw number, place and date, and states that the State Bank of Pakistan issues the annual schedule of draw dates.

This is why an Rs.750 draw, for example, does not suddenly occur on an unannounced date simply because someone online says a “special draw” is happening.

Saving.com.pk maintains the current schedule on its Draw Schedule page at /draw-schedule/, where readers can see upcoming denominations, dates, cities and draw numbers in one place.

The currently active system includes ordinary bearer bonds of Rs.100, Rs.200, Rs.750 and Rs.1,500, plus registered Premium Prize Bonds of Rs.25,000 and Rs.40,000. National Savings lists these as the present denominations.

What Happens on Draw Day?

The most useful official description comes directly from National Savings.

It states that Prize Bond winning numbers are drawn through a hand-operated draw machine. The machine is checked by members of the public before the draw begins, and the process takes place in front of the draw committee and members of the public attending the ceremony.

National Savings further says the machine is usually operated during the ceremony by children with special needs.

There is therefore no need to invent a story about a secret computer algorithm, hidden software or private formula. The official description is much simpler: a supervised physical draw using a hand-operated machine.

The important sequence is:

  1. the denomination and draw are already scheduled;
  2. the draw committee conducts the ceremony;
  3. the draw machine is checked;
  4. winning numbers are drawn;
  5. the resulting list is prepared and published;
  6. bondholders can then check their numbers.

How Winning Numbers Are Selected

The numbers are selected through the draw machine during the balloting.

National Savings does not publish a formula that a bondholder can calculate in advance—and its FAQ directly answers the question of whether someone can ensure that a purchased Prize Bond will win with a clear no.

That matters because many Prize Bond discussions mix two different ideas:

Historical analysis means looking at numbers that have already appeared.

Prediction means claiming to know what number will win a future government draw.

The first is simply studying old data. The second cannot be treated as a reliable method for identifying future winning numbers.

A result checker such as Saving.com.pk can tell you whether a number appears in an available past draw database. It cannot make a number more likely to win the next draw.

What Is Qura Andazi?

Qura andazi is a familiar Urdu expression used by Pakistani Prize Bond holders for the draw or balloting process.

Likewise, people may informally call it a Prize Bond lucky draw.

Using those phrases does not change how the official result is produced. In Saving.com.pk content, “qura andazi” and “lucky draw” should be understood as everyday names for the government Prize Bond draw—not as a promise that personal luck can be calculated.

For example, someone may naturally say:

Rs.750 Prize Bond ki qura andazi kab hogi?

What that person normally wants to know is:

When is the next Rs.750 Prize Bond draw scheduled?

The correct answer comes from the official draw schedule, not a prediction chart.

When Is a Bond Eligible for a Draw?

Buying a Prize Bond before the draw date is not by itself enough.

National Savings currently says that a Prize Bond must have been issued at least 60 days before the draw date to be entitled to a prize in that draw.

The same official FAQ explains the shut period. During the 60 days before a particular denomination’s draw, the State Bank and other authorized organizations stop selling that denomination.

Example

Suppose an Rs.750 draw is scheduled for 15 October.

A person cannot simply go to an official counter on 14 October, buy a newly issued Rs.750 bond and expect it to participate in the next day’s draw.

The eligibility timing exists before the draw.

This is also why a bond’s issue date can matter when a winning claim is checked.

For Premium Prize Bonds, National Savings confirms that these are registered products with quarterly prize-money draws, so they should be treated according to the applicable Premium Prize Bond rules rather than as anonymous bearer instruments.

Where Are Official Results Published?

National Savings provides both a Draw Search facility and downloadable historical draw lists.

Its current Download Draws section maintains results separately for:

  • Rs.100
  • Rs.200
  • Rs.750
  • Rs.1,500
  • Rs.25,000 Premium
  • Rs.40,000 Premium.

For example, its Rs.750 archive currently contains draw files covering multiple years, while the Rs.1,500 section similarly provides historical results in PDF or text form where available.

The SBP BSC customer-facilitation system also includes Prize Bond draw-result resources.

For a financial claim, these government-published records are the reference that matters.

How Saving.com.pk Checks a Draw Result

Saving.com.pk is intended to make official Prize Bond information easier to search, particularly when the official result consists of a long list of numbers.

For each draw added to the Saving.com.pk database, the checking process focuses on the identity and result of that particular draw:

1. Denomination
The result must belong to the correct bond, such as Rs.200 rather than Rs.750.

2. Draw number
A result from an earlier or later draw must not be mixed with the current one.

3. Draw date and city
These are matched with the scheduled draw information.

4. First and Second Prize numbers
The high-value winners are checked against the published result.

5. Complete Third Prize list
The full published list is stored so users can search numbers that would otherwise be difficult to check manually.

6. Number formatting
Leading zeros are preserved. A bond such as 004381 must remain 004381 in the database.

After the result is entered, Saving.com.pk makes it searchable through the Power Search at /power-search/.

For a more detailed explanation of that workflow, readers can use /how-we-verify-prize-bond-results/.

Saving.com.pk is an independent information website. Its checker is a convenience for searching result data; the corresponding official government draw record remains the final reference for a prize claim.

Can Anyone Predict a Prize Bond Draw?

There is no official method that guarantees a future winning Prize Bond number.

National Savings specifically says there is no way to ensure that a purchased Prize Bond will win a prize.

That is why claims involving:

  • guaranteed numbers;
  • VIP numbers;
  • fixed winning series;
  • baba numbers;
  • paid guess papers;
  • secret mathematical formulas; or
  • advance knowledge of a future result

should not be treated as part of the official draw system.

A past result can be verified. A future result cannot be known simply because a number has appeared frequently—or has not appeared recently.

Saving.com.pk covers these warning signs separately on /prize-bond-scams/.

How to Check the Result Online

Once a draw has been completed and the result has been published, you do not need to read thousands of numbers one by one.

On Saving.com.pk, you can:

  1. open the Power Search at /power-search/;
  2. enter one Prize Bond number or use the available multiple/range search options;
  3. select the denomination if necessary;
  4. search the historical result database;
  5. open the individual draw page if a match is found.

For a recent draw, you can also go directly to the relevant denomination page and open its latest result.

If your number appears as a winner, check the corresponding official result before surrendering the original bond or beginning a claim.

From Draw Date to Searchable Result

The Prize Bond process is easier to understand when it is separated into stages:

Schedule
The denomination, draw number, date and city are announced.

↓

Draw
A CDNS-constituted committee conducts the public draw using the hand-operated draw machine.

↓

Official Result
The winning numbers are published through National Savings and related official channels.

↓

Saving.com.pk Verification
The draw details and winning-number lists are checked and organized into the searchable database.

↓

Online Checker
Users search individual, multiple or historical Prize Bond numbers.

That is how Prize Bond draws work in Pakistan in practical terms. There is an official schedule, a supervised balloting process, eligibility rules and a published result. “Qura andazi” and “lucky draw” are common ways of describing that balloting; they are not prediction systems.

For your next step, check the Draw Schedule at /draw-schedule/ to see when your denomination is due, or use /power-search/ after a result has been released.

FAQs

Can the public attend a Prize Bond draw?

Yes. National Savings states that the general public may attend a Prize Bond draw ceremony on production of an original CNIC.

Is the Prize Bond draw computerized?

The current National Savings FAQ describes the winning numbers as being drawn through a hand-operated draw machine, not through an online prediction program.

What is the 60-day rule?
