The Rs.25,000 Premium Prize Bond (Registered) is different from an ordinary bearer Prize Bond. Ownership is registered in the investor’s name, draws are held quarterly, and both prize money and biannual profit are credited directly to the registered bank account. National Savings currently lists Rs.25,000 as one of Pakistan’s two active Premium Prize Bond denominations.

Latest and Upcoming Rs.25,000 Premium Draw
The official 2026 schedule provides four Rs.25,000 Premium draws:
| Date | City |
|---|---|
| 10 March 2026 | Multan |
| 10 June 2026 | Peshawar |
| 10 September 2026 | Quetta |
| 10 December 2026 | Karachi |
As of the beginning of 10 September 2026, National Savings’ online archive contains the March and June 2026 results, while the September draw is scheduled for today in Quetta. The live Saving.com.pk block should change the September entry from upcoming to completed only after the published result has been obtained, checked and added to the database.
This is one reason the article itself should not contain a permanently hard-coded “latest draw” box. Let the plugin decide which completed draw is newest.
For every current denomination together, use the Prize Bond Draw Schedule.
Rs.25,000 Premium Prize Bond Prize Details
The current prize structure per series is:
| Prize Tier | Number of Prize Numbers | Prize Amount Each |
|---|---|---|
| First Prize | 2 | Rs.30,000,000 |
| Second Prize | 5 | Rs.10,000,000 |
| Third Prize | 700 | Rs.300,000 |
| Total | 707 | — |
SBP BSC publishes this structure in its official Premium Prize Bond information.
First Prize — Rs.30 Million
Two numbers receive the First Prize under the applicable series structure:
2 × Rs.30,000,000
This is a useful headline figure for the denomination page, but it should be displayed as two First Prizes of Rs.30 million, not as one combined Rs.60 million prize.
Second Prize — Rs.10 Million
Five numbers receive:
5 × Rs.10,000,000 each
Third Prize — Rs.300,000
The Third Prize section contains:
700 × Rs.300,000 each
That makes a total of 707 prize numbers per series.
For comparison with other denominations, see Prize Bond Prize Details.
Registered Premium Bond — Not the Old Rs.25,000 Bearer Bond
This distinction should be prominent on /rs-25000/.
The active product is:
Rs.25,000 Premium Prize Bond (Registered)
It is not the old Rs.25,000 bearer Prize Bond that was withdrawn from circulation.
SBP’s National Prize Bond notices separately record the withdrawal of the old bearer Rs.25,000 instrument. The current registered Premium product remains active.
On Saving.com.pk, historical old-bearer results should therefore never be mixed into the current Rs.25,000 Premium result series without clear labeling.
For the old denominations, see Discontinued Prize Bonds in Pakistan.

How Rs.25,000 Premium Prize Bond Ownership Works
An ordinary Rs.750 or Rs.1,500 Prize Bond is a bearer instrument. The Rs.25,000 Premium Prize Bond works differently.
National Savings states that Premium Prize Bonds are registered in the investor’s name. They are available to adult Pakistani citizens and Overseas Pakistanis, and registration includes bank-account information.
National Savings currently lists these purchase documents:
- copy of CNIC;
- Account Maintenance Certificate showing account title, IBAN, account status, bank and branch;
- tax certificate in case of a filer; and
- nominee CNIC details.
That registration is also why prize and profit payments can go directly to the investor’s bank account.
Where Can You Buy an Rs.25,000 Premium Prize Bond?
National Savings states that Premium Prize Bonds can be purchased through:
- SBP BSC offices; and
- authorized commercial-bank branches.
Accepted payment methods currently include cash, cheque, pay order and bank draft.
SBP also issued updated instructions to authorized commercial banks on 6 August 2026 concerning the settlement of Premium Prize Bond sales, confirming that the commercial-bank issuance channel remains operational.
For the full purchase process, see Where and How to Buy Prize Bonds.
When Is an Rs.25,000 Premium Bond Eligible for a Draw?
SBP BSC’s Premium Prize Bond FAQ states that the minimum holding or retention period for an Rs.25,000 Premium Prize Bond to qualify for the forthcoming draw is:
Two months.
So buying a new Rs.25,000 Premium Prize Bond just before the 10 December draw does not automatically make it eligible for that draw.
This is especially useful information to place near the draw schedule because readers frequently check a draw date when deciding whether a recently purchased bond is eligible.
Rs.25,000 Premium Prize Bond Profit
A major difference between ordinary bearer bonds and Premium Prize Bonds is the profit feature.
Premium Prize Bonds provide biannual profit payments in addition to quarterly prize draws. National Savings currently states a 2.92% biannual profit rate.
The current Finance Division notification sets the rate at 2.92% per biannual period for the covered Premium Prize Bonds, applicable to relevant profit payments after 9 September 2025 until further notification.
Example
At 2.92%, the gross six-month profit on one Rs.25,000 Premium Prize Bond is:
Rs.25,000 × 2.92% = Rs.730
This is a gross example before applicable withholding tax.
Because profit rates can be changed through government notification, Saving.com.pk should avoid permanently embedding the rate into design graphics that are difficult to update.
How Prize Money Is Paid
Ordinary bearer Prize Bond winners normally need to follow a claim process.
The Rs.25,000 Premium Prize Bond is different.
National Savings states that prize money and profit are directly credited to the investor’s registered bank account, and no ordinary claim application is required for these payments.
This is why correct bank-account details matter.
If you see your Rs.25,000 Premium number in a Saving.com.pk result, you can verify the draw against the official result, but you should not treat the ordinary bearer Prize Bond claim procedure as the normal payment route for this registered product.
Tax on Rs.25,000 Premium Prize Bond Winnings
National Savings currently states that withholding tax applies to both Premium Prize Bond prize money and profit:
- 15% for filers / persons appearing on ATL
- 30% for non-filers / persons not appearing on ATL.
For a Rs.30,000,000 First Prize:
| Status | Gross Prize | Withholding Tax | Amount After Withholding |
|---|---|---|---|
| Filer | Rs.30,000,000 | Rs.4,500,000 | Rs.25,500,000 |
| Non-filer | Rs.30,000,000 | Rs.9,000,000 | Rs.21,000,000 |
These examples use the currently published withholding rates and show only the basic deduction.
For more detail, see Prize Bond Tax for Filer and Non-Filer.
Can an Rs.25,000 Premium Prize Bond Be Transferred?
Yes.
National Savings currently describes Premium Prize Bonds as transferable and pledge-able.
Because ownership is registered, transferring one is not the same as simply handing over an ordinary bearer bond. The prescribed transfer procedure should be used so the official ownership and payment records correspond with the new holder.
The broader registered-bond rules are explained on Rs.25,000 and Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bonds.
What If an Rs.25,000 Premium Bond Is Lost?
A registered Premium Prize Bond has an important advantage over an ordinary bearer bond: an official ownership record exists.
SBP BSC provides a specific lost-Premium-Prize-Bond procedure and form for registered investors.
Do not assume a lost Premium Prize Bond should be handled in the same way as a lost Rs.750 or Rs.1,500 bearer bond.
The registered product has its own process.
